Even though winter is wilting away, I am not done with my knee high boots. Riding boots, cowboy boots, over the knee suede boots, straight, slouchy or the one conforming to your calves. Pick any knee high boots, I am in love with all of them. What’s no to like? They keep you warm, cosy, comfortable and stylish all at the same time. Pair these with Jeans or dresses, skirts or shorts, minis or midis or even with anything floor length you will not be disappointed. Then there’s another argument that they don’t look good on a petite frame cause it cuts your legs in half. Well I disagree. Get the right pair for yourself and style it properly and you will look a million bucks!
Which ones do I have in my collection? Alas! not many. 🙂 Now, there’s no harm in looking and planning to slowly build that collection though is it? Today I’m sharing the list of all the boots in all price ranges that I admire. Would I like to try all of these? Of course. We all know that isn’t practical, so let’s for now take a look at these and I’ll keep you posted what I tried. Let’s dive straight into it then.
Minimal looking leather knee high boots
I’m starting with this category as this is my favourite. I like all things minimal, timeless and chic. With preferably no bells and whistles. I like a good leather that will age with time and develop a beautiful patina over the years. I love to experiment with texture though. A good croc leather or a pebbled one and I’m in. I also hear that after a break for a couple of years the classic knee high boots are back in trend and I am here for it! When it comes to finding the right pair though, it can be quite challenging. You need the right fit and calf length. Here are a few styles that might make your search easier.
- YULIANA 60 KNEE-HIGH ZIP BOOT – Stuart Weitzman
- MILA LIFT BOOT – Stuart Weitzman
- BLANCA TALL BOOTS – Vagabond
- Jillian tall boots – Vagabond
- GRAPHITE BOOT BLACK PARIS – Steve Madden

- Tap Tan – Dune London
- High leather boots – Mango
- High flat boots – Zara

Suede knee high boots
I wanted this to be a separate category as I think about styling these in a completely different aesthetic. When I think about suede I imagine falling leaves and autumnal breeze. Shades of yellows and browns in a picturesque ranch and a deck with cane furniture, sunset and a book. 🙂 This is my version of cowboy style. I know I know it’s really not! Well, I usually prefer suede ones in lighter hues and styled with dresses and skirts for the most part. I also prefer them in over the knee style, however they look equally good in knee high length. Here are a few that made it to my list.
- BOOTS ADELE – SEZANE
- DARIAN BOOTS – Steve Madden
- Tayla – Taupe – DUNE LONDON
- YULIANA 60 KNEE-HIGH BOOT – Stuart Weitzman
- SADIE BOOT – STUART WEITZMAN
- Stina tall boots – Vagabond
Western boots
This style is not my personal favourite, yet I confess it looks amazing on people who can carry it well. (Picture Jennifer Connelly in Blood Diamond). I don’t think I can carry it :). Country roads take me home, to the place I belong…:) That’s the vibe I get from cowboy boots. This style’s definitely been on trend this season and looks like is here to stay for a while. So if you are one of those who’d like to be on trend and more adventures than I am, I say go for these. It’s not hard to find these in stores or online. I can see these listed on all the usual brands.
- BOOTS LOW GABRIELLE – Sezane
- LASSO BOOT BROWN SUEDE – Steve Madden
- LASSO BOOT BLACK MULTI – Steve Madden
- Leather Cowboy boots – Mango
- Leather cowboy boots in suede – Mango
- SUEDE HIGH HEEL COWBOY BOOTS – Zara
- COMBI COWBOY BOOTS WITH SUEDE – Zara
Lace up boots
If like me you get inspired by gaming characters like Lara croft then you might be a fan of lace up boots. I like a good ankle length lace up boot but a knee high lace has a different feel to it. it can look good both with a chunky heel or a more dressy version. Styling it right will be the key. I could only find a few that looked good according to me.
- 1B60 BEX LEATHER EXTRA HIGH BOOTS – Dr. Martens
- AUDRICK LEATHER PLATFORM BOOTS WITH 20 EYELETS – Dr. Martens
- SOHO BOOT – Stuart Weitzman
Just comfort
In those coldest of months you need to be extra warm and protected from the elements. When you know you need to walk some distance and all you are looking for is comfort. While keeping snug and safe there’s no need to compromise on style. There are quite a few options available that keep you cozy and stylish.
Ashton Chelsea Tall Boot – Ugg
