Who would argue that anything French or Parisian gives a fashionable and romantic vibe? With everyone trying to emulate the French effortless fashion, a brand from Paris comes in handy. I’ve been following Sezane for a couple of years now and some of my favourite bloggers are a big fan too! Of course I had to give it a try! No surprise here. I loved it! It started with a pair of sweater, then I ordered a dress and then some more! 😉 I’ve a never ending list that I’d like to try. There’s so much to love about the brand that also goes with my style. Here’s my take on the brand –
Quality
No doubt this has to be the first criterion. Sezane is a B Crop certified brand. That not only means guaranteed quality and sustainability but also focus on business, operation, supply chain and safe work place. All this gives you a product that you will love and cherish for years to come. Use of organic cotton, pure wool and silk ensures you get your hands on the best quality fabrics. Soft to touch, breathable and amazing to look at. You can see the fabric is nice, the moment you lay your eyes on any of the pieces.
Style
It’s a big statement when I say, I haven’t come across a piece that I don’t like. EVERYTHING is thought through! Sezane’s styles ooze femininity, class and a period element that I adore. I love classic movies and novels and occasionally like to live in that nostalgic feeling. The way each piece is designed by Sezane sort of tells a story and takes you back to a time that is tranquil and picturesque. It’s like the movie Midnight in Paris or the era of Audrey Hepburn and Moulin Rouge.
Attention to detail
Well if you’ve tried something from Sezane you know what I’m talking about. Whether it’s the weaving or embroidery, buttons that look special, the exquisite collar and cuff details. There’s extra care and attention given to everything. It’s an ideal mix of simplicity and panache.
Delivery and Packaging
To avoid standing in queues and trial rooms (Not something I noticed in Sezane store) I like to order things online. It may sound too good to be true, but the delivery services is always hassle free and seamless when I order from Sezane. I’m not sure, but they must have taken care of the customer experience bit here as well, as I haven’t ever had to explain to the delivery guy what my address is or pick it up from their location. This is not always true for all the other deliveries. When it arrives, the packaging is of course bio degradable, but at the same time tells you the care they put into in packaging and elevates the experience when you first open the package.
In store experience
Needless to say the stores are elegantly designed and stacked. The service is also amazing. You might kill me when I say that I couldn’t go to a store in my recent trip to Paris. I know! I Know! That’s for the next time. P.S. a new post about the Paris trip coming soon!
What I recently bought from Sezane
Cardigan Gaspard
This is an effortless, soft, comfortable, and elegant looking cardigan. You can style it easily with any bottoms or wear it over a dress. A lot of choices in colors and patterns. I have also mentioned this in my post about Spring.
Sweater Natalia
This sweater stole my heart coz of the intricate details and weaving. Made with wool and kid mohair, it’s soft to touch and very delicate looking. You can style it with open front or back. I prefer it with open back. Crochet finish around the neckline makes it look extra feminine.
Dress Drew
For those cold days if you are looking for a knit dress that’s warm and cozy along with being stylish. Made with marino wool and cotton, the Drew dress is perfect. The moment you put it on, you are transported into a comfort zone. I wore it for a day long trip to Belgium and I was snug and cozy on a windy day. If only it wasn’t day long walking (in my age ;)) it was a perfect day.
Blouse Elegantine
The moment I saw this top with fine embroidery, I couldn’t take my eyes off it. The color combination screams spring summer to me. The attention to detail on neckline and sleeves makes it perfect to elevate a pair of jeans, trousers or a skirt.
Final word
All in all they have thought about everything. A brand experience that the founder should be proud of. A cult favourite? No wonder!
