Life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the fall.

Autumn, my favourite season is knocking our doors and all I can do is think about is long walks in the park. Book nerd that I am, I can’t stop thinking about cozying up and reading in the park or by the fire. Compared to any other time of the year it’s also my favourite time for style and dressing up. You can take inspiration from golden hues, from yellow to burgundy the whole colour palette of Autumn is to die for! When it comes to this year’s Autumn wishlist, I have a very specific list. From last year’s wish list I did get quite a few items, a trench being my favourite among those. So, this year my goal is mostly augmenting it and making it more chic and more aligned to my personality. Let’s dive right in:
Autumn carries more gold in its pocket than all the other seasons.

1. A charcoal coat
Yes, not black, not grey but I am in the hunt for a perfect charcoal coat. So far I like the rewool cocoon coat as well as the rewool long peacoat from Everlane. On the site it says heathered black, but it’s the perfect charcoal color I’m looking for. I also like this dark grey wool coat and this belted herringbone one from h&m.
2. Wool trousers
Wool trousers are comfortable, cozy and perfectly chic looking for this weather. I have been wearing jeans a lot to work and am looking to add a couple of trousers to my work collection. Especially for autumn winter. I’m in love with Pants Martin in Mottled grey in 100% virgin wool from Sezane for this weather. The way high drape pants from Everlane are also something very wintry especially paired with heeled boots. These ones are Tancel and Lyocell. However, they release a wool version every season.
3. Knit dresses
I got this beautiful brown knit dress from Sezane last year. It’s not available anymore on their website. But I know I’m going to get a lot of wear out of it. I am planning to add a couple more this year. The couple I’m considering from Sezane are – Dress Harper and Dress Jaelle. Actually when it comes to Sezane all the knit pieces are an art work in itself. I will hopefully add a few to my collection. &other stories also has some beautiful knit dresses in wool and cashmere.
4. Wool blazer
Considering my petite frame, I haven’t found the perfect balzer yet. I’m also looking for something in wool. I’m hoping this fitted checked blazer from &Other Stories will prove to be the match. I also like this topstich detail one.
5. Jackets
I recently got the Will Jacket in sage from Sezane and have my eyes on the camel buck skin one. This is not going to be super warm so I’ll see if I add it to my collection this year. Whenever I do, it’ll be a forever item in my wardrobe. Besides another Will Jacket, I have been waiting for the perfect leather jacket. That’s one item I haven’t added since my last year’s wish list. I’m not sure if I’ll go for a biker style or a more muted one. Any suggestions? Please do share. I’ll be grateful. 🙂
6. Knits
Did I say Autumn is my favourite season? This is why. Because I get to wear a lot of knits. Instead of listing the huge list I can say that I have my eyes on a lot fo pieces from Sezane. They are known for their knits and there’s a reason. . I have a few thin knits and I got a couple of mohair blend last year. I am looking for cable knit and stripes and even feminine designs.
7. Lace up boots
Yes, I have a couple of good pair of boots, I’m now looking to add a pair of lace boots preferably a bit rugged looking in brown. Something like these from Dune London. I really like the all weather amelia boots from Nisolo.
That’s my list for Autumn and Winter this year. What do you like the best in this and what’s on your list? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below.
Until next week. Ciao!
